Selection guide

How to choose

  1. 1

    Calculate the airflow

House volume, pig number and peak temperature decide the fan size and count.

  2. 2

    Plan inlets with fans

Where fresh air enters decides how well it mixes and cools.

  3. 3

    Consider heating and cooling

Cold climates need heat for young pigs; hot climates need cooling.

  4. 4

    Use a controller

A controller follows a temperature curve and sounds an alarm when conditions go out of range.

Frequently asked questions

How are the fans sized?

From the house volume, pig number and peak outside temperature. We calculate the airflow and propose the fan count.

Do I need cooling pads?

In hot climates, pads cool incoming air by evaporation and are common. In cold climates, heating matters more.

Can alarms be added?

Yes. Controllers can sound an alarm when temperature goes out of range, and monitoring can be added.

What happens in a power cut?

Houses need a plan for power cuts: alarms, a generator, or emergency openings. We discuss options with you.

How much does ventilation cost to run?

Fan power is a major part of running cost. Variable-speed fans and good design can lower it.

Can I upgrade old houses?

Often yes: adding inlets, controllers and efficient fans can improve an existing house.

Are sizes and configurations fixed?

No. Dimensions, materials and configuration are customised to your herd size, climate and local rules, and agreed with you before quotation.

Are the specifications on your product pages final?

They are typical reference values to help you compare. Final specifications are confirmed with you before quotation.

Who installs the equipment?

Our installation teams install and commission the equipment. The scope for each project is agreed in the contract.

What warranty do you give?

Warranty terms depend on the equipment and are agreed per project in the contract.
