Selection guide

How to choose

  1. 1

    Decide the housing system first

Electronic feeding is mainly used with group housing; stalls need other tools.

  2. 2

    Count the sows per station

The number of stations follows the herd size and the group system.

  3. 3

    Choose the ID system

Ear tags, readers and software must match each other.

  4. 4

    Plan staff training

Sows and staff both need to learn the system in the first weeks.

Frequently asked questions

What is electronic sow feeding?

Each sow wears an electronic ear tag. When she enters a feeding station it reads the tag and gives her the ration set for her.

Does it save feed?

Feeding to a plan for each sow can reduce over- and under-feeding. We do not quote savings without data from your own farm.

What else is needed?

Group pens, ear tags and software are normally part of the package. Staff training is also important.

Can I add stations later?

Yes, if the pens and the software are planned for it.

What happens if a station fails?

Good designs let sows pass out of the station and alert staff. Please ask about the fail-safe design of the model.

Do I need a heat detection station?

It is optional. Many farms start with feeding and add heat detection later.

Are sizes and configurations fixed?

No. Dimensions, materials and configuration are customised to your herd size, climate and local rules, and agreed with you before quotation.

Are the specifications on your product pages final?

They are typical reference values to help you compare. Final specifications are confirmed with you before quotation.

Who installs the equipment?

Our installation teams install and commission the equipment. The scope for each project is agreed in the contract.

What warranty do you give?

Warranty terms depend on the equipment and are agreed per project in the contract.
